About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rheumatologist to join our team at Launceston General Hospital in Northern Tasmania.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive outpatient services across the region, as well as inpatient consultations where required.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead specialist Rheumatology clinics and coordinate patient care.
- Provide expert advice and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure continuity of care.
- Mentor and supervise postgraduate trainees, and contribute to medical student teaching through the University of Tasmania.
- Contribute to departmental research, clinical governance, and service development initiatives.
Requirements
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent recognised overseas specialist qualification.
- Eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical service delivery, teaching, and research within Rheumatology.
