The team undertakes projects within all areas of asset detection, including civil, construction, infrastructure, excavation, non-destructive digging, cable, pipe, concrete, water, and leak detection.

This role as a Utility Locator will see you undertaking project management and operations. You will be a key member of the locating team and have a senior scope overseeing a mixture of asset detection work and dealing with projects in quoting, planning, operations, and leading the running of certain work assigned to yourself.

  • General utility locating & subsurface asset detection
  • Quoting jobs and servicing client requests
  • Interpreting plans and self-managing project outcomes
  • Handling some organisational components for projects
  • Working with surveyors, labourers, diggers, operators, and more
  • Relationship management with clients and customers
  • A mixture of on-site in the field and from office operations
  • Working across the general NSW geographical region

To be suitable for this role, it is imperative that you have experience from utility locating or sub-surface asset detection backgrounds. You will ideally have experience across the broad range of detection requirements and have general experience.

  • General experience with EM locators & GPR equipment
  • Experience in general asset & sub-surface utility locating
  • Experience in quoting, assessing, and interpreting projects
  • Experience in client and customer liaison
  • Experience with related programs, software, and locating systems
  • Experience dealing with NDD
  • Experience with construction tools drilling, cutting, etc.
  • Construction cards and DBYD or ability to obtain
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • Good computer and tech skills
