Asset Management Specialist

Our organization is committed to powering better journeys for all Australians, and we are seeking a talented Asset Management Specialist to support our mission.

The role of the Asset Management Specialist will involve providing financial and accounting support for the operation and control of assets and capital expenditure. This will include assisting with month-end close, maintaining depreciation rates, setting up budgets and projects in SAP, releasing funds, and tracking progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support asset movements and verification processes
  • Ensure complete and accurate capital expenditure inputs into the general ledger
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure reconciliations, controls, and detailed review in closing out matters
  • Identify improvements in fixed asset control and drive continuous improvement of financial reporting, systems, and accounting processes

About You:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting the business in their management of new and existing assets as well as capital expenditure. You will consider yourself a highly analytical individual who has a focus on attention to detail.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant qualification in Business, Commerce, Economics, or Finance
  • CA/CPA or working towards (membership fees covered)
  • Relevant experience in a finance-based role in a large organization
  • Previous experience in asset or lease accounting
  • Experience in using SAP (Highly desirable)
