Job Overview:

As a Diesel Fitter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of our fleet of heavy machinery. This permanent position involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and warranty work on CAT 794 Electric Trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and warranty work on a fleet of CAT 794 Electric Trucks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by keeping valued customers informed of job progress and costs.
  • Ensure repairs are carried out using relevant control guidelines to prevent rework.
  • Determine the reusability of all disassembled parts.
  • Submit accurate service reports, timecards, parts request sheets, and parts quotes.
  • Support the sale of genuine parts and provide guidance on appropriate repairs when requested.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant trade qualifications and demonstrated experience on earthmoving equipment.
  • Current coal board medical for site-based mining roles (if applicable) and Std 11 qualification or ability to acquire via HDAL.
  • Industry experience in earthmoving, construction, quarrying, local council, maritime port, and agricultural sectors.
  • Well-developed communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated and proven ability with desktop computers and devices.
  • Experience with Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi, and SIS).
