About the Opportunity

This is a unique chance to be part of a new service and team, helping to shape the future of mental health care in the community.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the guidance of a leader to deliver a high standard of pharmacy services across designated pharmacy units.

You will coordinate the management of clozapine across all sites, providing clinical and operational pharmacy support within the MHRU and broader area.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate management of clozapine across sites;
  • Deliver pharmacy services across designated units, including dispensing, distribution, packaging, inventory management, and medicines preparation/manufacture;
  • Organise daily workloads, monitor quality standards, and provide technical training to staff;
  • Collaborate with supervisors, the multidisciplinary team, and managers to ensure safe, effective, and cost-conscious drug therapy delivery;
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of patient care and outcomes within a high-standard, recovery-oriented environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Hold a relevant Certificate IV or higher qualification, with demonstrated competence in at least two pharmacy practice areas and strong technical, arithmetic, and communication skills;
  • Bring extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including supervising, teaching, coaching, and training staff, with proficiency in pharmacy management software, spreadsheets, and Word;
  • Possess sound organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dispensing and production methods, regulatory frameworks, and ethical practice, with a commitment to continual learning and safe work practices.
