RACQ Roadside Assistance Specialist

Role Summary

Are you dedicated to providing exceptional service and ensuring safety on the roads? RACQ is on the lookout for committed professionals to fill the role of Roadside Assistance Specialist.

In this position, you will be utilizing our state-of-the-art fleet of recovery vehicles, including Attenuators and Tow Trucks, to support RACQ members and fellow drivers during challenging situations. Your efforts will be pivotal in transforming difficult moments into positive experiences, delivering expert help and reassurance to those in distress.

Our specialists focus solely on member assistance, allowing you to concentrate on delivering outstanding service to RACQ members and urban motorists, ensuring a consistently positive experience.

Candidate Profile

  • Work-Life Balance: Benefit from a rotating schedule of 38 hours with shifts ranging from 8 to 10 hours, Monday through Friday, including one Saturday shift every six weeks. Conveniently start and end your shifts at designated locations.
  • Driving Record: Maintain an impeccable driving history over the last five years.
  • Licensing Requirements: Possess an MR License or higher and a General Induction White Card.
  • Technical Proficiency: Be comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and various computer systems.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication abilities and effectively manage conflict situations.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical skills in dynamic roadside scenarios.
  • Growth Opportunities: Experience in military or emergency services is a plus, and we provide avenues for career progression within RACQ.
  • Pre-Employment Conditions: Be prepared to undergo medical assessments, drug and alcohol testing, and background checks.
