Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering, managing, and maintaining contracts, providing expert advice on contractual matters, and ensuring effective management and mitigation of risks.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- Prepare and approve surveys, quotes, or proposals related to contracts and customers.
- Coordinate and negotiate amendments, variations, and change proposals.
- Administer contracts to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
- Assist with risk management plans and enforce contractual rights.
- Ensure compliance with export and import control requirements.
- Maintain a register of contract information and safeguard original documents.
- Train personnel on contractual matters and develop training materials.
- Develop and maintain pro-forma documents and ensure configuration control.
- Provide advice on liabilities, indemnities, and insurance.
- Align business services objectives with strategic direction.
- Support and advise on existing contracts and participate in negotiations.
- Prepare and coordinate contract change proposals and non-disclosure agreements.
- Serve as the primary contact for contractual matters with customers.
- Review correspondence related to commercial issues, performance, and invoicing.
Requirements:
">- Tertiary qualification in law or business, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in contract/subcontract management and administration.
- Knowledge of Australian Defence contracting policies, including ASDEFCON.
- Familiarity with US export controls, FAR, DFARS, and relevant laws.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and build stakeholder relationships.
Eligibility:
">- Australian citizenship to meet defence security requirements.
- Ability to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
- Possibly require a Foreign Work Authorization (FWA) as per Defence laws.
