The Support Service Leader plays a pivotal role in advancing the operational aspects of our Greater Brisbane Home Care Team. Key responsibilities include establishing meaningful connections with individuals within our care, empowering them to thrive independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategize and implement community services for low to medium level client needs;
- Maintain compliance with best practices, privacy, and legal regulations;
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to enhance client care;
- Develop and mentor a team of dedicated Home Care Workers;
- Promote the Home Care service within the catchment area, identifying opportunities for growth and development.
Requirements
Success in this role demands:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Home and Community) or equivalent qualification;
- Completion of HLTHPS006, HLTAAP001, CHCCCS011 units of competency;
- Current driver's licence and willingness to utilize personal vehicle for work purposes;
- Applied knowledge of current aged care legislation, funding mechanisms, government policies, and statutory regulations;
- Current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates;
- Minimum one-year experience leading a service delivery team and planning, coordinating, and implementing care services in the home care/community care environment;
- Ability to utilize mobile devices to record and manage information;
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;
- Valid National Police Certificate and ability to undergo a National Personal Insolvency Check.
