As a Senior Power Systems Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on complex energy networks and contribute to their development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects in the ADMS portfolio and serve as technical support expert
  • Support implementation of control systems at electric utilities
  • Participate in design, planning, and execution of ADMS projects
  • Support testing events with the customer
  • Work closely with functional development teams to troubleshoot, prioritize, and test product changes
  • Interface with utilities Geographic Information System (GIS) teams to extract, translate, and load the electrical network model to the Distribution Management System
  • Configure and integrate software components to meet contract requirement specifications and test with customers
  • Support training customers on how to operate the systems being delivered
  • Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve issues observed on live systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; degree in Electrical Engineering, Power System Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Power System Engineering role including Outage Management System and Switch Order Management Application Engineering role
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex systems issues in software applications
  • Knowledge of system designs, computer systems, engineering practices, and control systems
  • Understanding of Electric Distribution Power Systems and modeling is preferred (Load Flow Studies, FLISR and VVC/VVO)
  • Familiarity with electric utilities operations and regulatory requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effectively manages time, and context switches between multiple competing tasks
