About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled WHS Business Partner to join our team at Peter Warren Automotive. As a key member of our National Safety team, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing our safety management system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Policies and Procedures: Collaborate with our National Safety team to develop and implement effective safety policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements and promote a safety culture throughout our organization.
  • Conduct Safety Site Inspections and Risk Assessments: Conduct regular safety site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Investigate and Report on Incidents and Accidents: Investigate and report on incidents and accidents in a timely and thorough manner, identifying root causes and developing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provide Education and Training: Provide education and training to employees on safety policies, procedures, and best practices to promote a safety culture and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Compliance with Safety Regulations: Ensure that our organization complies with all relevant safety regulations and standards, including those related to workplace health and safety.
  • Collaborate with Management to Develop Safety Improvement Strategies: Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement strategies that promote a safety culture and reduce the risk of incidents and accidents.
  • Monitor Workplace Conditions and PPE: Monitor workplace conditions and ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and used correctly to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • Advise on Corrective Actions and Preventative Measures: Advise management on corrective actions and preventative measures to address safety concerns and reduce the risk of incidents and accidents.
  • Collaborate in Return-to-Work Programs: Collaborate with our outsourced provider to develop and implement return-to-work programs that support employees who have been injured or ill.
  • Promote a Safety Culture: Promote a safety culture throughout our organization by leading by example, providing education and training, and encouraging employees to report safety concerns.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 Years WHS Experience: You must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in WHS, including experience in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting safety site inspections and risk assessments, and investigating and reporting on incidents and accidents.
  • Hold a Qualification in WHS: You must hold a qualification in WHS, such as a Certificate IV in WHS or a Diploma in WHS.
  • Thorough Knowledge of WHS Laws and Regulations: You must have a thorough knowledge of WHS laws and regulations, including those related to workplace health and safety.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to Work as Part of a National Team: You must be able to work as part of a national team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve safety goals and objectives.
