Lead Family Violence Services Specialist
As a Lead Family Violence Services Specialist, you will be responsible for providing advocacy expertise to support Youth Justice. Your primary objective will be to contribute to building staff capability to proactively identify family violence and improve outcomes for young people's futures.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a fixed-term full-time specialist in Clinical Oversight and Rehabilitation based in Melbourne. You will have the chance to model and support family violence screening, risk assessment, and management strategies aligned to the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management framework.
You will conduct primary consultation to manage the needs of victim survivors and young people using family violence, provide on-site case-based secondary consultation, and advise on evidence-based family violence best practice. Additionally, you will co-facilitate YJ family violence training, contributing to Communities of Practice (CoPs) or events and identifying professional development opportunities in response to operational and young people's needs.
To be successful in this role, you will need experience working with family violence victim survivors and/or people using family violence, including understanding of the MARAM framework, FVISS, and CISS, and family violence services. You should also have knowledge of adolescents and children, including an understanding of the Child Protection and Youth Justice systems and the interrelation between family violence and adolescent offending risk.
The position requires a Working with Children Check, which must be maintained for the period of employment.
