Water Resources Management Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our Newcastle Water Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in leading water resources assessments and providing creative solutions to meet the needs of our clients and communities.
This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in water balance, water quality, flooding, and drainage aspects to drive positive change for our clients and community. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead water resources assessments for traditional energy and resources projects, as well as emerging asset transition applications.
- Coordinate and review hydrology and hydraulic modeling to inform planning studies and detailed design of new infrastructure.
- Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure successful delivery of water resources projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and assess complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of environmental issues related to surface water management, particularly for energy and resource clients.
- Advanced analytical and spreadsheet skills, with intermediate GIS capability preferred.
- Demonstrated professional judgment and commercial acumen, including identifying, assessing, evaluating, and solving problems to brief and budget.
- A business and relationship development attitude to enhance client portfolio and project delivery.
- Robust written and verbal skills, with ability to communicate complex issues concisely.
- Bachelor of Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or equivalent.
