Senior Orthopaedic Medical Officer Job Opportunity

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You will conduct thorough clinical assessments, provide management advice, care for emergency admissions and work closely with inpatients as required; assist in necessary operative procedures for patient care and treatment, and coordinate admission and discharge processes.
  • You will assess patients in the Emergency Department and provide operative care assistance during rostered hours and while on call.
Your Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • You must hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrate at least two years' experience as a registered medical practitioner, progressing towards career goals in Orthopaedics.
  • Show clinical competency and ability to work independently within a complex clinical environment, utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
  • Show commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management, and evidence of sound knowledge of legal and ethical obligations governing medical practice.
  • Show strong written and verbal communication skills, time management and problem-solving skills in a clinical setting as part of a multidisciplinary team.
