Job Opportunity: HSE Advisor

As a key member of our team, you will support the project manager in implementing a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work environment.

You will actively coach employees to promote a positive culture on site, working on a 2/1 FIFO roster to our FRP Tunnel Infrastructure scopes in the Snowy Mountains area of NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and review Project HSE Management Plans (including Emergency Response Plan)
  2. Deliver Corporate and client HSE programmes
  3. Creation of Project specific toolbox topics to address local HSE issues and facilitation of toolbox meetings
  4. Coach and influence site workers and management on the Projects hazard and risk management tools (e.g. JHA/SWMS, Take 5, hazard report and permits) and reinforce safe behaviours and address at-risk behaviours in the field
  5. Conduct and support with incident investigations and identify causal factors
  6. Champion HSE inspections with site personnel (including subcontractors) and coach participants in identifying hazards and controls
  7. Monitor and review HSE registers
  8. Support injury management on site including monitoring injured person's and projects adherence to return to work plans onsite
  9. Completion of HSE Reports

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a HSE Advisor on High-Risk Civil projects
  • Tunnel construction and/or FRP project experience - A definite advantage
  • Experience with FIFO or DIDO projects working for a Contractor
  • Formal OSH Qualifications such as Cert IV or Diploma is preferred
  • Cert 4 in Training and Assessment
  • Self-starter with ability to communicate with all stakeholder levels
