Employment Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about employment law and has experience working in a construction, infrastructure, or engineering environment.

Purpose of the Role
  • Provide legal support across employment law, industrial relations, and governance matters.
  • Assist with investigations, contract and policy review, and ensure alignment of legal frameworks with operational needs.
  • Contribute to sound workforce practices and risk management.
Key Responsibilities

The Technical Legal Support Officer will be responsible for:

  1. Providing legal and compliance support across employment law, industrial relations, and governance matters.
  2. Assisting with investigations, contract and policy review, and ensuring alignment of legal frameworks with operational needs.
  3. Contributing to sound workforce practices and risk management.

This role requires a tertiary qualification in Law, with a focus on employment or industrial relations, as well as minimum 5 years' experience in employment law.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in employment law.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and high-risk matters with professionalism.
  • Sound negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
