Senior Health, Safety and Environmental Quality Specialist

This is a key role within our organization that requires an individual with expertise in health, safety, and environmental quality management to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
About the Role:- The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strong relationships across all levels of the business to implement and promote a culture of zero harm.
- They will assist in the development of key safety and quality activities, including the preparation of reports, alerts, and other documentation.
- The role involves undertaking reviews of event reports, assisting operations in determining causes and actions to prevent recurrences, and delivering training and awareness sessions.
- Additionally, they will participate in injury management processes and return-to-work coordination.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization to promote a culture of zero harm.
- Assist in the development and implementation of key safety and quality activities.
- Prepare and review reports, alerts, and other documentation related to safety and quality.
- Undertake reviews of event reports and assist operations in determining causes and actions to prevent recurrences.
- Deliver training and awareness sessions to employees on safety and quality protocols.
- Participate in injury management processes and return-to-work coordination.
- A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in an on-site safety role.
- Exposure to quality and environment controls on site.
- Experience within the underground utilities space is highly desirable.
- Certificate IV in WHS (minimum).
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable).
- Good working knowledge of WHS legislation.
- Safety management system experience.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge.
