An exciting opportunity has arisen for an internship that fulfills course-credit requirements, offering you practical experience and a genuine insight into the sports industry, particularly in consultancy, research, and analytical insights.

Throughout your internship, whether undertaken in a continuous block or on a regular part-time basis, you will collaborate closely with a Graduate Analyst or Analyst. This experience will allow you to gain immediate exposure to the collection, evaluation, and analysis of real-world data. From the outset, interns will learn to interpret data and derive insights that will influence commercial strategies and shape the sports landscape.

Your internship will involve:

  • Utilizing internal applications and software to gather and manage data essential for analysts
  • Collecting and refining sports match data to elucidate trends in audience engagement and brand visibility, enhancing your Excel proficiency
  • Conducting analysis and deriving insights to comprehend patterns in camerawork and factors influencing brand exposure during sports broadcasts, applying your creative thinking through sports observation
  • Summarizing and analyzing trends from Futures sports fan surveys
  • Performing various administrative tasks that require a keen eye for detail

  • A strong interest in sports and the business aspects of sports and entertainment
  • A motivated and diligent self-starter
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A solid academic record
  • Preferably, experience with Excel

Internship Eligibility:

Prior to applying, please ensure you meet the following criteria:

  • You are currently enrolled in an Australian tertiary program that necessitates an internship or placement, whether arranged by your educational institution or initiated by you, in accordance with your course requirements.
  • The internship may be a component of the overall course or an individual subject/module. Please provide details of your course and subject along with the required internship hours.
  • You possess a strong academic background in a business degree, achieving a distinction average or higher.
  • You have a passion for data, sports, and the business of sports and entertainment.
