This internship opportunity is designed for students seeking course credit, offering invaluable hands-on experience and a genuine insight into the sports industry, particularly in consultancy, research, and analytical insights.

Interns will work closely with a Graduate Analyst or Analyst throughout their tenure, gaining exposure to real-world data collection, evaluation, and analysis. From the outset, interns will learn to interpret data and derive insights that inform commercial strategies, shaping the landscape of Australian sports.

The internship responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing internal applications and software for data collection and storage as required by analysts.
  • Gathering and refining sports match data to identify trends in audience engagement and brand visibility, enhancing your Excel proficiency.
  • Conducting analysis and generating insights to comprehend patterns in camerawork and factors influencing brand exposure during sports broadcasts, utilizing creative thinking through sports observation.
  • Summarizing trends from Futures sports fan surveys.
  • Performing various administrative tasks that demand a keen attention to detail.

Required qualifications:

  • A genuine interest in sports and the business of sports and entertainment.
  • A proactive and diligent self-starter attitude.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong academic performance.
  • Preferably, experience with Excel.

Internship Eligibility:

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in an Australian tertiary program that necessitates an internship or placement as part of the course requirements.
  • The internship may be a requirement for the entire course or a specific subject/module. Please provide relevant course and subject details along with the internship hours mandated by your program.
  • A strong academic record in a business-related degree, ideally with a distinction average or higher.
  • A passion for data, sports, and the business of sports and entertainment.
