Electrical Infrastructure Designer

We are seeking a talented and experienced electrical infrastructure designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing high-voltage electrical infrastructure, including transmission and distribution systems, substations, and associated equipment layouts.

  • Design Documentation: Produce accurate and compliant design documentation, supporting engineering teams, and ensuring that all designs meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Engineering Knowledge: Apply and incorporate engineering knowledge standards, design guides, product datasheets, existing products, and designs in order to produce reliable and economic results in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrate a strong capacity for creative problem-solving, offering innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  • Design Development: Proactively identify and champion opportunities for innovation throughout the design process, pushing for creative solutions.
  • Constructability: Analyze the constructability or manufacturing feasibility of a project or product.
Required Skills And Competencies
  • Education: Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in High Voltage transmission, distribution, or substation design (including 220kV or higher).
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of HV equipment, substation layouts, and design principles.
