We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead our high-voltage electrical infrastructure operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a regulated environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment across site infrastructure;
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders;
  • Act as the appointed Statutory Electrical Supervisor/Electrical Nominee as required;
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies for HV assets;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical standards and legislative requirements;
  • Prepare reports for regulatory bodies and manage incident notifications appropriately;
  • Assist in developing annual maintenance plans and managing capital forecasts;
  • Oversee work planning and scheduling in collaboration with planning teams;
  • Lead continuous improvement through asset performance reviews and lean maintenance principles;
  • Engage with external consultants and internal departments to uphold electrical best practices;
  • Act in the role of Infrastructure Electrical Superintendent during periods of absence.

Requirements:

">
  • Confident working autonomously and leading maintenance teams in a regulated environment;
  • Over 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within HV environments;
  • Strong expertise in HV transmission and distribution networks, including fault rectification;
  • Proficiency in PLC, Citect, and field instrumentation;
  • Sound knowledge of electrical standards, codes, and safety legislation;
  • Skilled in developing maintenance strategies and managing contractor performance;
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and lead technical teams effectively;
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering (essential);
  • Certificate IV in Leadership & Management;
  • HW Switching Operators Certificate;
  • Certifications in First Aid, LVR/CPR, and S26 training;
  • Electrical Nominee certification (desirable);
  • Eligible to be appointed as Electrical Supervisor under the Health and Safety Act 2020 and WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022.
