High Voltage Engineering Specialist

Based in our Perth office, we're seeking a skilled engineer to join our team. As part of our growing engineering hub, you will play a key role in delivering high-voltage substation projects that support the growth of Australia's renewable energy and utility sectors.

You will report to the Manager, Primary Design, and be instrumental in the success of our new Perth engineering team, while providing hands-on design expertise.

  • Hands on detailed engineering studies (e.g., system studies, earthing, insulation coordination, HV cable sizing)
  • Apply well-rounded primary design skills (e.g., conductor/busbar sizing, short circuit forces, lightning/lighting studies, substation layouts, equipment specifications)

Foster a collaborative environment to support team capability growth and play an active role in embedding our company in Western Australia.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Undertake detailed engineering studies for high-voltage substations
  2. Apply primary design skills to ensure safe and efficient substation designs

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in the HV power transmission industry
  • Demonstrated proficiency performing in a similar role in the HV electrical industry
