Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineering Project Lead

 

About the Role:

CPC Engineering is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Mechanical Engineering Project Lead to lead our mechanical engineering projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership, overseeing and coordinating mechanical engineering projects, guiding and mentoring the engineering team, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality mechanical designs and solutions in alignment with project objectives and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop mechanical engineering deliverables including package engineering, calculations and plant design.
  • Provide project review of mechanical deliverables.
  • Coordinate designs and drafts people.
  • Review progress and schedule.
  • Ensure adherence to all CPC Engineering and CPC Project Design policies, systems, procedures and quality management requirements.
Requirements:
  • An industry related higher education degree.
  • Significant (>15 years) minerals process plant design experience.
  • A knowledge of a range of processes and unit operations.
  • Engineering delivery experience.
  • Able to work in a team environment, allocate work to others, and monitor progress.
Desirable Skills:
  • High-level communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Strong computer literacy skills within a Microsoft office environment.
  • Ability to produce study estimates.
  • Ability to manage studies and small site projects, including variation management.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A knowledge of databases and version control.
  • Attention to detail, excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Extensive industry contacts and ability to win confidence of Clients through business development.
  • Willingsness to travel if required.
Estimated Salary:

$120,000 - $150,000 per annum
