Primary Educator

 

Job Description:

The role of a Primary Educator is to foster a love for learning in students while upholding the values and mission of Catholic Education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create an inclusive, student-centred classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
  • Develop and deliver effective curriculum programs that meet the standards for teachers.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents to enhance learning experiences and achieve optimal educational outcomes.
  • Support students' spiritual and moral growth.

This involves creating a supportive and ordered learning environment that is learner-focused, cooperative, and aligned with relevant policies and practices.

Work collaboratively with the leadership team and other staff members to contribute to the professional life of the school and promote a positive school culture.

Engage proactively in professional development to improve student learning outcomes.

Establish meaningful relationships in the pastoral care of students and support their spiritual and moral growth.

Educate students based on the teachings and values of the Catholic Church.

Requirements:

To be successful as a Primary Educator, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Expertise in teaching the Australian Curriculum.
  • Ability to develop engaging lesson plans.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
