Job Title: Talent Development Specialist - Strategic Growth

This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of the Department's strategic plan, focusing on building internal capability and promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce.

About the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of strategic human resources initiatives, providing subject matter expertise and advice to the Culture and Capability team. They will also oversee the implementation of key organisational culture and capability projects and initiatives, managing planning, development, and implementation within assigned resources and agreed timeframes and outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance employee engagement and promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HR matters, including recruitment, talent management, and performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver transformative change initiatives across the Department, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the Department at whole-of-government forums on people development initiatives.
  • Prepare high-level correspondence, reports, briefing papers, presentations, and promotional material to stakeholders on project initiatives and outcomes.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in HR leadership, talent development, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Highly developed business acumen, with ability to understand organisational goals and objectives.
