About the Role

This part-time Disability Support Worker position requires a flexible schedule, including sleepovers and weekends.

As a support worker, you will be supporting individuals with disabilities in residential houses. You will provide quality care and services that cater to clients' needs, interests, abilities, and choices.

The role involves assisting clients with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, shopping, and laundry. You will also accompany participants on outings within the community and recreational activities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting clients with daily living tasks, including personal care and hygiene
  • Accompanying participants on planned and chosen outings
  • Developing and implementing meaningful activities
  • Administering medication, recording, and ordering
  • Maintaining progress notes, incident reports, and daily records
  • Assisting with domestic tasks, including cleaning
  • Managing complex situations calmly and rationally

Requirements:

  • Professional approach and adherence to management's instructions
  • Ability to work under pressure and as a team member
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and car insurance
