We are currently seeking qualified and seasoned Fitters throughout Australia, including regions such as Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, and South Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct repairs and maintenance as per work orders and scheduled services, utilizing workshop unit manuals as necessary.
- Request parts and materials from the Maintenance Leading Hand to facilitate work execution.
- Perform job safety analyses before starting assigned tasks, ensuring all reports on serviced or repaired equipment are completed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including tools and equipment.
- Adhere to the organization's Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Management System in all relevant areas.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in engines and components.
- Dismantle and extract engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts for inspection.
- Execute preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, employing precision maintenance techniques.
- Carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on reverse osmosis units, pumps, valves, piping systems, and auxiliary equipment as required.
- Oversee the management of plant tools, manuals, assemblies, and consumables.
- Repair and replace worn or defective components, reassembling mechanical parts as needed, referencing service manuals.
- Monitor and perform preventive maintenance on waste heat recovery systems and their components.
- Execute machine operations, servicing, and engine overhauls.
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups, to ensure optimal vehicle performance and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Reassemble engines and components post-repair.
- Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure proper functionality.
- Diagnose and evaluate parts with the assistance of computer systems.
- Implement modifications as necessary.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Fitter.
- Proficiency with crane machinery of all sizes and travel towers.
- Ability to provide evidence of work history.
- Strong English communication skills.
- International experience is advantageous.
