Role Overview:

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will report directly to the Maintenance and Electrical Team Leader. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver maintenance services to our Geelong Distribution Plants, ensuring adherence to IPF maintenance protocols while maximizing asset efficiency and minimizing production interruptions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental performance standards, as well as relevant regulations.
  • Execute maintenance tasks within budgetary constraints, adhering to IPF Engineering and Maintenance Standards.
  • Engage in daily Maintenance toolbox meetings to contribute to the continuous enhancement of maintenance operations.
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on bulk loadout fixed plant and equipment.
  • Complete maintenance tasks and oversee contractors as necessary.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to facilitate planned and unplanned maintenance activities with minimal disruption to service.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
  • Ability and willingness to operate a forklift.
  • Familiarity with basic computer systems, preferably SAP.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
