Job Title: E&I Technician

We are seeking a skilled E&I Technician to join our team at Incitec Pivot Limited. As an E&I Technician, you will be responsible for providing a maintenance service to our Mt Isa Operations, ensuring the ongoing reliability of our plant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a responsive service to meet unplanned maintenance requests and scheduled maintenance plans as per weekly SAP work order process.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks within budget and in compliance with Site Engineering and Maintenance Standards.
  • Work as part of a team to follow processes and procedures relating to maintenance tasks, safety, quality, and environment with a 'do it once, do it right' mindset.
  • Work closely with operations team to achieve plant reliability and production targets.
  • Provide input into improvements for reliability maintenance strategies and work closely with reliability engineers.
  • Provide after-hours support on a rotating roster.
  • Fault finding on DCS and PLC controlled equipment.
  • HV Switching.
  • Hazardous Area Inspections.
Requirements:
  • Full Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Licence and a Certificate III in Instrumentation.
  • Current 'C' Drivers Licence.
  • Forklift Ticket.
  • EWP Ticket.
  • High Voltage Switching Qualifications.
  • Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) Qualifications.
Desirable:
  • HRWL- Rigger/Dogger.
  • HRWL- Turbine.
  • HRWL- Boiler.
  • Breathing Apparatus (BA Training).
  • Type B Gas.

Our Northern Operations consist of an Ammonium Phosphate Mine and Processing Plant (Phosphate Hill) and Sulphuric Plant (Mt Isa) in North Queensland. The facilities comprise of ammonia, beneficiation, phosphoric acid, granulation, and sulphuric acid plants, plus infrastructure, utilities, power generation, and housing to support the permanent workforce.
