About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Incitec Pivot Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance services to our Geelong Distribution Plants, ensuring compliance with our maintenance systems and procedures, and facilitating high asset utilisation and minimising production downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with applicable company HSE performance standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations
  • Carry out maintenance tasks within budget and in compliance with IPF Engineering and Maintenance Standards
  • Participate in the site daily Maintenance toolbox meeting to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the maintenance function
  • Carry out routine and breakdown maintenance on bulk loadout fixed plant and equipment
  • Carry out maintenance tasks to completion and supervise contractors when required
  • Liaise with operational staff to support planned and unplanned maintenance activities with minimal interruptions to customers

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter who can manage their time and problem solve on the go. You'll be resourceful, self-motivated and have the ability to work safely and efficiently within a team environment and add to a positive safety culture.

  • You must be committed to positively contributing to our safe, inclusive and high-performance culture
  • Be trade qualified as a Mechanical Fitter
  • The ability and interest to operate a forklift
  • Experience with basic computer systems, ideally SAP
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work autonomously and with limited supervision
