As a Midwife, you will be part of a team providing high-quality care to women and neonates in our busy maternity unit. The role involves working closely with obstetricians, other midwives, and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife, minimum one year postgraduate midwifery experience, and excellent clinical skills. High level communication and organisational skills are also essential for success in this role.

The Maternity Unit at GV Health has up to 1,000 births per year and services a growing regional area. Our Maternity Services Unit consists of:

  • Antenatal/Postnatal Inpatient Unit
  • Birth Suite – Including facilities for water births
  • Special Care Nursery
  • Antenatal service
  • Domiciliary postnatal care and breastfeeding support
  • In vitro fertilisation (IVF) services
  • Midwifery Group Practice
  • Early pregnancy services

Our goal is to provide collaborative woman-centred care, with Midwives able to rotate through all areas of our Maternity Services.
