Director of Community Development

Drive meaningful relationships and vibrant, connected communities through strategic partnerships and employee engagement.

Partner with charitable organisations to fund projects that incorporate technology for scalable outcomes in need.

Oversee programs, social impact initiatives, charity partnerships, employee engagement, volunteering, and manage multiple business functions to support continued success.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage community development initiatives and partnerships ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Collaborate with media, external affairs, internal communication teams to promote awareness and engagement.
  • Develop and drive the creation and delivery of a comprehensive community development plan across all internal and external channels.
  • Prepare regular reports and content on activities and project outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage employee expertise and assets through collaboration with senior leaders to drive active participation and support for initiatives.
  • Work with governance bodies and stakeholder management teams to ensure compliance with requirements and meet reporting obligations internally and externally.
  • Support Sustainability programs providing governance and communication support.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum five years' experience managing philanthropy or charitable programs with a focus on social impact.
  • Experience in and understanding of the not-for-profit sector is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging C-suite executives and senior leadership effectively communicating social impact initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of employee engagement strategies, volunteering program management, and community relations.
  • Experience managing budgets in a regulatory setting.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience managing stakeholders across all levels of seniority in a business.
  • Strong experience delivering projects/campaigns in a fast-moving corporate environment.
