Senior Manager Operational Risk and Resilience

Credit Union Australia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Operational Risk and Resilience to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and oversee policies and standards to reduce business disruption and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
- Coordinate response efforts and ensure testing of plans through simulations or exercises.
- Develop and maintain policies and standards supporting service provider management.
- Oversee control design and implementation, recurring risks and controls review, and resilience assurance and support for regulatory notification.
- Represent the second line of risk on relevant risk forums, project working groups, and steering committees.
- Challenge and oversee operational risks and governance frameworks.
- Analyze risk profiles, incident and issue data, and prepare insights for fact-based reporting on Operational Risk performance and activity across the bank.
- Support the development of key risk management framework artefacts.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in operational risk management and/or resilience management roles.
- Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating various types of risks at a group-wide level, including operational resilience, business continuity planning, crisis management, service provider governance, or related fields within the financial services industry.
- Proven ability to manage and influence multi-faceted stakeholders to meet competing priorities, different needs, and non-aligned expectations.
- Strong communication skills to build relationships at all levels and clearly communicate good risk management practices.
- Knowledge of relevant financial services regulatory and compliance considerations.
- Strategic thinking and ability to deliver solutions to risk issues.
