Job Overview

A trust accountant position has become available in a dynamic and growing team based in the Hills District. As a trusted member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting tasks, including daily reconciliations, settlement processes, and payment management.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity that offers an excellent salary and benefits package. As a trust accountant, you will work closely with a part-time bookkeeper to ensure the smooth operation of our accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily reconciliation of sales trust accounts, ensuring accurate and timely settlements.
  • Process settlement payments and handle payment receivables and payables efficiently.
  • Reconcile sales trust accounts and 5 general trading accounts on a daily basis.
  • Handle mid-month and end-of-month payments, including AMEX card checks and reimbursements.
  • Enter commission payments, send statements, and manage contractor invoices.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an accounts role within a real estate office environment.
  • Strong sales trust account experience and proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in Xero, with the ability to invoice external stakeholders.
Working Hours

This is a Monday-to-Friday, full-time role based in the Hills District. If you are a motivated and experienced trust accountant looking for a new challenge, please apply with your CV.
