Job Title:
Aps5 & 6 Hr Advisor

This role is part of a Federal Government Agency, working within the People and Culture Branch. As an HR Advisor, you will work closely with the team and other areas to ensure high levels of customer service to internal and external clients.

The key responsibilities include developing, reviewing, and updating employment-related policies, procedures, delegations, and instruments. You will also provide timely and expert employment relations advice to business areas on HR matters.

Responsibilities

  1. Developing and maintaining accurate records and reports as required.
  2. Providing consultative services to managers and employees on workplace matters.
  3. Coordinating and facilitating meetings and workshops for stakeholders.
  4. Analyzing data to identify trends and patterns and developing recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including effective communication with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to engage and develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a key team player, achieving effective outcomes with others.
  • For APS5 Level, experience in a HR role in an APS context is highly regarded.
  • For APS6 Level, experience in providing technical, specialist, and/or complex HR advice in an APS context is highly regarded.

Applicants should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team and have a high level of organisational and time management skills.

Experience working in a similar environment and having a sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and policies would be beneficial.
