Job Overview

The role of Electrical Superintendent is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of crushing plants. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of electrical personnel, planning, leading, and monitoring their work to achieve targets.

You will collaborate with multiple disciplines and areas to achieve excellence in all tasks and goals of the department and wider business. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing effective management and leadership to electrical personnel
  • Ensuring the effective delivery and safe management of electrical elements of crushing plants
  • Collaborating effectively with multiple disciplines/areas to achieve excellence in all tasks and goals of the department and wider business
  • Ensuring electrical KPI's in accordance with client contract terms and safety systems
  • Implementing, maintaining, and managing systematic routine electrical maintenance program in liaison with operational requirements
  • Assessing, ordering, and monitoring of electrical parts and consumables
  • Reporting all faults and defects of plant promptly
  • Assisting in training and learning regime of employees and sub-contractors and identifying suitable development opportunities
  • Ensuring performance reviews are conducted annually, constructive feedback is provided, and career paths and development plans are identified

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Current Electrical License
  • High Voltage Switching Certificate
  • Previous experience managing operational teams
  • Previous experience in individual personnel development for overall department success
  • The ability to demonstrate a positive attitude, resilience, and openness to change
  • Highly motivated and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
