Job Description

This role is a critical financial partner for allocated businesses or segments, providing a financial perspective on business plans and overall divisional strategy.

This position will provide insight into business performance drivers and operations, identify risk and opportunities, and balance challenge and partnership with business leaders.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Accountability for division/business P&L and balance sheet reporting, working collaboratively with the finance team and specialist CoEs.
  • Partnering with business leaders to enable sound decision making through analysis, experience, and collaboration, leveraging specialist Centre of Excellence teams.
  • Connecting business and leaders to technical/centralized finance teams (FP&A, Manufacturing Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Shared Services) to ensure divisional context understanding and effective cyclical finance activities delivery.
  • Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting.
  • Participating in setting Working Capital targets and monitoring segment/divisional performance, including risks and opportunities.
  • Performing key analysis of profitability and business opportunities across areas such as customers, products, pricing, assets, utilization, and labour productivity.
Required Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Expert level financial analysis skills and experience, with the ability to turn business analysis into insights and clearly articulate these to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a fast-moving business environment, with at least 3-5 years of financial management experience and 3-5 years of commercial finance experience.
  • Experience in pricing and negotiation, sound understanding of management accounting.
  • Demonstrated experience from working in cross-functional teams, with finance and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving process improvement.
  • Experience supporting M&A activities, including integrations and separations.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications essential in finance, accounting, commerce/business, preferably with post graduate qualifications such as MBA.
  • CPA/CA qualified.
