Job Description

We are seeking a Dynamic Leader with a passion for excellence and a proven track record of success in civil construction.

This is a pivotal role in our senior management team, requiring the ability to lead by example and foster a culture of leadership at all levels within our organisation.

The successful candidate will have 20+ years of civil construction industry experience, including 6+ years onsite experience as Project Manager of complex TMR civil construction projects.

The key responsibilities and accountabilities include:

  • Leading multiple civil construction projects throughout Queensland;
  • Aligning secured works with our Strategic Business Plan;
  • Establishing and implementing systems and processes crucial for achieving positive project outcomes;
  • Implementing and reinforcing company procedures and standards, with a particular emphasis on safety and legislative requirements;
  • Building and nurturing a high-performing team of Project Managers through coaching, mentoring, and challenging them to grow;
  • Ensuring projects are adequately resourced to successfully meet and exceed project outcomes;
  • Maintaining a clear accountability matrix and role clarity within each project team to optimise performance;
  • Establishing and monitoring major milestones for each project, focusing on objectives beyond a four-week timeframe;
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree qualification in Engineering or equivalent;
  • High levels of drive and urgency to achieve responsibilities and accountabilities;
  • Proficient in dissecting complex problems to drive decisive, strategic decisions;
  • Demonstrates exceptional contractual expertise for both head contract and subcontract administration;
  • Displays a comprehensive grasp of financial and commercial intricacies;
  • Executes programming and planning with precision, translating plans into actionable results;
  • Implements earned value analysis proficiently to optimise project performance;
  • Exemplifies strong organisational and time management to prioritise responsibilities effectively;
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
