Job Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Construction Director to lead our infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic direction and control of all construction activities.

The role involves planning, staging, and executing construction works, ensuring seamless coordination with engineering, procurement, commercial, quality, material handling, and expediting logistic functions.

  • Direct and control site construction activities on the project to ensure that standards of quality, cost, safety, and performance are observed and that time schedules are met.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive construction strategies, as well as new works plans.
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure construction activities can take place immediately once on site.
  • Ensure sufficient resources (equipment and personnel) are provided on a project so that it can be delivered safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring the physical and financial progress of work.
  • Ensuring that standards of quality, cost, safety, and performance are observed and that time schedules are met.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to site personnel.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree qualification or equivalent in Civil Engineering with extensive experience relevant to the responsibilities of the position.
  • Extensive construction experience with working on large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Construction Card along with a current and valid driver's license.
  • Equivalent construction tickets and safety certifications.
  • Knowledge of OHS and Environmental legislation, Codes of Practice and Standards as they apply to the construction industry.
