Tyre Installer Part Time

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Tyre Installer to join our team in Victoria, AU.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Locating member vehicles and identifying any body damage on service orders;
  • Driving vehicles into the install bay, raising them using hydraulic hoists, and setting brakes;
  • Removing wheels using impact guns and rolling them to mounting machines;
  • Attaching new valve stems, mounting new tyres on wheels, and filling them with air pressure;
  • Operating automatic balance machines to achieve proper weight and placement for balancing wheels;
  • Attaching lead weights to rims using lead weight hammers;
  • Reattaching wheels to vehicles using impact guns and hand torque wrenches according to tyre shop procedures;
  • Completing 9-point checks and authorising vehicle releases;
  • Parking vehicles in lots and returning invoices and keys to sales desks;
  • Performing second torque checks after managers or supervisors on tyres installed by others;
  • Repairing flat tyres for members;
  • Cleaning instal areas by sweeping, mopping, spraying, and wiping;
  • Assisting with sales and stocking tyres in sales areas in accordance with tyre shop managers' merchandising plans.
