
Therapeutic Support Specialist

Work as a specialist counselor, delivering support services to individuals affected by sexual abuse and domestic violence.

The selected candidate will work at Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital, located on Yuin Country, providing high-quality therapeutic counseling and support services to vulnerable populations.
As part of this role, you will work closely with clients who have experienced trauma, including child and adult sexual assault, family and domestic violence. You will provide individualized support services, including psychoeducation, crisis interventions, risk assessment and safety planning, advocacy, therapeutic counseling, and group work.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with people who have experienced trauma, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications- AHPRA registration or Social Work degree and eligibility for AASW membership
- Valid NSW driver's license
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Category A vaccination requirements
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience post-graduation in trauma-informed therapeutic support services
