Therapeutic Support SpecialistJob Summary:
The Therapeutic Support Specialist will provide culturally appropriate trauma-focused therapeutic supports for Aboriginal individuals and families, addressing sensitive issues. This role requires a deep understanding of Aboriginal cultures and experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapeutic and case management services to clients across all ages.
- Offer cultural consultation to clients, communities, and professionals.
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide holistic support.
Required Qualifications:
This role requires one of the following qualifications: a) A qualification in Social Work which provides eligibility for full membership to Australian Association of Social Workers, b) Counselling qualification with ACA L3-4 registration or PACFA Clinical Registrant status, c) Sydney University's Aboriginal Qualification Pathway - Graduate Certificate in Human and Community Services (Interpersonal Trauma), or d) Psychology: General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and, for Senior Psychologist, a current Senior Psychologist or eligible for Senior Psychologist grading, or for Clinical Psychologist, an accredited Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with endorsement.
