Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned IT risk and assurance professional to join our growing team as an Associate Director. In this role, you will play a key leadership part in developing KPMG's Technology Risk and Assurance service line, providing opportunities for growth towards a Director position.

  • Lead small to medium-sized teams of skilled professionals and oversee the planning and execution of IT audit and IT risk client engagements.
  • Deliver high-quality IT risk and assurance services, including IT external and internal audits, service organisation controls reporting, IT risk assessments, and IT project assurance reviews in multiple industries, to KPMG clients.
  • Evaluate the design and effectiveness of technology controls throughout the business cycle while managing performance for IT audit, risk, and assurance staff working on assigned engagements.
  • Develop and present clear, concise reports and presentations containing actionable observations and recommendations to clients, and review documented procedures performed and conclusions reached related to projects.
  • Support proposal and business development activities by assisting in identifying new target clients, building business relationships with key executives, and developing/presenting proposals.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to KPMG team members regarding deliverables, project plans, and performance management.
  • Stay abreast of developments in technology, internal audit, and IT risk management to ensure that KPMG's approach remains at the forefront of industry thinking.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Solid experience in internal and/or external audit, with additional experience in IT risk management, attestation, project assurance, or advisory preferred.
  • A tertiary qualification (preferably information systems and commerce or related).
  • A demonstrated track record of client management, project delivery, and business development support.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and team management experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
