Industrial Coatings Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Coatings Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and technical skills that can truly shine in this role.

  • Perform surface preparation on steel or hard composition objects, ensuring the removal of all contamination and achieving the specified finish.
  • Apply coatings using spraying or brushing techniques.
  • Review coating specifications and comply with the required standards.
  • Blast to profile tolerances and specifications.
  • Take precise measurements when measuring blast profile.
  • Maintain accurate records of coating thickness, including DFTs, reports, salt testing, etc., as necessary.
  • Manage inventory of materials, including coatings and consumables, and notify the supervisor of any shortages.
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of machines and equipment.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to apprentices and trades assistants.

This is a full-time opportunity that requires local residency in the Southwest region. A valid driver's licence and work at heights and confined space tickets are also essential requirements.

Requirements:
  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Industrial Painting or Blasting OR relevant experience.
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • Work at Heights & Confined Space Tickets.
  • Dogging / Rigging certification (preferred but not essential).
  • Forklift Ticket (preferred but not essential).
  • Physical fitness for manual labour and ability to pass a drug and alcohol screening.
  • Strong commitment to safety and a reliable work ethic.
