Painting Technician

We are seeking a skilled Painting Technician to join our team. As a Painting Technician, you will be responsible for painting products to meet the required paint specifications and other standards.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Preparing valves and components for spray painting">
  • Applying paint using both airless and conventional spray systems to meet specifications provided in work instructions or special instruction documents">
  • Inspecting, measuring, and testing completed work for finish, film thickness, and coverage (holidays) to ensure required standards are met">
  • Continually improving painting techniques and practices to enhance the quality and consistency of paint coatings for our products">
  • Cleaning and maintaining all spray painting, air extraction, safety, and other equipment, while maintaining high standards of general housekeeping">
  • Ensuring safe storage and handling of all paint, thinner, and cleaning products in accordance with established procedures">
  • Maintaining a tidy and clean work area, including daily cleaning of equipment, workspaces, and shared areas">
  • Keeping all shared facilities clean; cleaning up after your own work and ensuring these areas are left tidy">
  • Ensuring the quality of our products by following applicable Quality Assurance procedures and work instructions, and completing required forms (e.g., Quality Plans)">
  • Training others in painting techniques and practices as needed">
  • Ensuring safe work practices in accordance with the Company Safety Program">

Requirements

  • Experience in industrial spray painting">
  • Forklift certificate">
  • Proficient in both conventional and airless spray systems">
  • Application of two-pack paints">
  • Ability to troubleshoot spray painting issues while maintaining high standards of finish and consistent film thickness">
  • Experience with paint thickness testing and various testing methods/equipment">
  • Operation of overhead cranes and associated accessories">
  • Experienced in the use of hand and power tools">
