The paint industry is a specialised industry. You will be provided with the relevant training to equip you with the skills required. Relevant sales experience within the paint industry or with practical home improvement projects is an advantage.

The successful applicant would be genuinely interested in people and their projects, and in providing an exceptional customer experience to both our retail and trade customers. Above award wages will be paid, and a uniform is supplied, along with ongoing training. Store opening hours are 6am-5pm Monday to Friday and between 7am-4pm Saturdays and Sundays. The stores are not open on public holidays.

Responsibilities include:

- Following the "Inspirations Way" procedures
- Providing an exceptional customer experience and expert paint advice for both retail and trade
- Tinting and mixing paint, providing colour advice and colour-matching
- Store presentation, stock management and housekeeping
- Workplace Health & Safety requirements

Experience / Attributes:

- A demonstrated background in sales and/or customer service would be well regarded
- Ability to work weekends - Saturdays and Sundays - as rostered
- Practical experience in home improvement projects desirable
- Available to work weekends on a rotating roster
- Able to problem solve using advanced communication skills
- A willingness to learn and continuously improve
- Able to contribute and work in a small team environment
- A current driver's licence is essential, and a forklift licence desirable
- Honest, reliable and punctual
- Basic computer skills
- This role involves some heavy lifting up to 25kgs

**Experience**:

- Paint, Hardware & Construction: 2 years (preferred)
- Retail: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (preferred)
