Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and underwrite equipment finance applications in line with credit policies and authority levels.
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare detailed credit submissions for retail and key account customers.
  • Analyze portfolio trends to identify and mitigate credit and capital risk exposure.
  • Recommend alternative finance structures to achieve optimal outcomes for the business and customers.
  • Review and maintain credit limits, conditions, and securities for key account facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies, legal, regulatory and privacy requirements.
  • Liaise with legal counsel to prepare and finalize security documentation.
  • Collaborate with collections to identify and escalate early signs of financial difficulty.
  • Contribute to credit scorecard development, system testing, and credit risk reporting.
  • Provide support and coaching to internal stakeholders on credit policy, risk and compliance.
  • Champion continuous improvement and high-quality credit standards across the team.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in financial services, asset finance or a senior credit underwriting role.
  • Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills are necessary for success in this role.
  • Confident computer skills and the ability to learn new platforms quickly are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for presenting to senior stakeholders and committees.
