Every theatre and Cath Lab is designed to provide the highest standard of care, ensuring that every patient has a positive experience from admission to procedure completion. Our team focuses on efficient processing and organization, utilizing large assembly and storage areas for an optimum working environment.

The Central Sterilising Supply Department is responsible for reprocessing reusable medical devices used in procedures across various specialties. As an Instrument Technician, you will work across a 24/7 rotating roster, handling multiple phases of the reprocessing cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor Steam and Sterrad sterilizers
  • Process Endoscopy equipment
  • Lend and process loan equipment from external vendors
  • Clean, set up, and wrap instrument trays
  • Utilize electronic tracking systems for inventory management
  • Conduct all testing for equipment functionality
  • Schedule and execute surgical setups and transfers of sterile items to designated departments

This role requires lifting instrument trays weighing up to 7.5kgs.
