About the Role
We are seeking candidates for a dynamic and exciting opportunity to work as a Judge's Associate in a leading court.
The role involves providing support to Judges across all three Divisions of the Court, gaining valuable experience in the Court and developing an understanding of court processes and procedures.
As a Judge's Associate you will have the chance to liaise extensively with the legal profession and observe the work of advocates and the judiciary.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to exercise sound judgment, and have good organisational and problem-solving skills.
A law degree and/or experience in legal practice or an associated field is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing administrative support to Judges
- Liaising with the legal profession and observing court proceedings
- Developing knowledge of court processes and procedures
- Exercising sound judgment and making informed decisions
- Working collaboratively as part of a team
Requirements
- A well-developed understanding of court processes and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make informed decisions
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- A valid Australian driver's license
