About the Opportunity

St John's Child Care in Neutral Bay is a not-for-profit Long Day Care Centre providing high-quality care and education to children from birth to six years old.

Role Overview

This is a full-time permanent position as a Diploma Qualified Educator, requiring you to provide quality education and care to children to support their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of programs reflecting the approved learning framework.
  • Develop positive relationships with children, families, and community members.
  • Facilitate play-based learning environments responsive to children's interests, strengths, and abilities.
  • Document children's learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Children Services (essential).
  • Previous experience working at a Diploma Level in an early learning service.
  • A work history demonstrating recording observations, writing learning stories, and supporting curriculum planning using the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Understanding of the National Quality Framework and EYLF.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues, families, and community members.
