Questacon Travelling Intern, APS Level 3, Department of Industry, Science and Resources

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Questacon Travelling Intern, APS Level 3. As a member of our National Touring Programs team, you will have the opportunity to travel to regional and remote Australia, delivering engaging STEM activities to students and communities.
This is a unique chance to develop your science communication and performance skills, while making a positive impact on the lives of young Australians. You will work closely with our experienced science communicators, learning from them and contributing to the development of our programs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver primary school science shows and innovation workshops to students in regional and remote Australia
- Assist in the facilitation of pop-up science centres, from setup to facilitation
- Travel to regional and remote areas for 2-4 weeks at a time, including significant driving
- Work collaboratively as a member of a team to deliver high-quality programs
- Adhere to policies and procedures to ensure the safety and quality of programs
- Australian citizenship
- Full or P2 driver's license (held for at least 12 months)
- Ability to gain and maintain an ACT Working With Vulnerable People registration
- Ability to gain and maintain equivalent registration in other Australian states and territories
- Pass a national police check
- Basic First Aid Certificate
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays as required
